Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy

Prominent Q waves in limb leads I and aVL and precordial leads V4 through V6 are characteristic of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy—an indicator of LVH. However, some patients have a normal ECG tracing. The ECG may also have a left bundle-branch pattern as well as other signs of LVH without prominent Q waves.
