ACLS is best managed as a team effort. While a single ACLS provider out in the field may be able to provide lifesaving care if immediately available after a cardiac arrest, most individuals needing resuscitation will require a team effort. 

Team-based ACLS improves outcomes and saves lives. Here we will discuss the basics of building an ACLS team by focusing on complementary roles, excellent communication, and professional behavior. Simulating the different roles, including the team leader, will allow integration and mastery of team-based ACLS.
