Symptoms of Tachycardia

Tachycardia only needs to be treated if it is the cause of a patient’s symptoms. Specifically, if the heart rate is causing problems with systemic perfusion or another detriment to the patient, that is when tachycardia should be managed.

Tachycardia symptoms include:

  • Decreased or altered level of consciousness
  • Shock
  • Ischemic chest pain
  • Heart failure
