After completing this section, the Neonatal Resuscitation provider will be able to:

1. Rapidly assess the newborn.
2. Recall the initial steps of newborn care.
3. Determine if additional interventions are required.
4. Know what to do if there is no improvement after the initial steps.
5. Provide supplemental oxygen to a newborn.
6. Decide when to use continuous positive airway pressure.
7. Manage meconium aspiration.
8. Explain aspects of umbilical cord management.
