After completing this section, the Neonatal Resuscitation provider will be able to:
- Rapidly assess the newborn.
- Recall the initial steps of newborn care.
- Determine if additional interventions are required.
- Know what to do if there is no improvement after the initial steps.
- Provide supplemental oxygen to a newborn.
- Decide when to use continuous positive airway pressure.
- Manage meconium aspiration.
- Explain aspects of umbilical cord management.
