Resuscitation is an emergency intervention, and there is a high risk of failure, especially if the newborn baby’s health condition is futile. This section teaches the healthcare provider skills for supporting the parents and family of the newborn.
The guidelines in this section may only apply to specific cultures, and the healthcare provider should be aware of and seek to understand cultural differences when providing emergency resuscitation.
