Successful resuscitation requires a competent team that performs specific tasks in unison. The team may consist of a bystander for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), together with an emergency medical service (EMS) provider. An in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) team will consist of multiple healthcare providers such as nurses, respiratory therapists, doctors, and other specialists. The work is divided logically into different tasks.
