- The blood then passes through the tricuspid valve to the right ventricle.
- Blood from the right ventricle perfuses the lungs via the pulmonary arteries
- Oxygenated blood then moves to the left atrium via the pulmonary veins
- From here, the blood passes through the bicuspid valve and is transported to the left ventricle.
- Blood then enters systemic circulation through the aorta.
