Video at a Glance
- The clinician must quickly identify the patient who can benefit from cardiac pacing.
- Once identified, turn the monitor to ‘Pacer” mode.
- Set the rate and output until pacer spikes are visible on the monitor.
- During pacing, the rhythm and rate will be regular, and the P wave will be replaced by a pacer spike.
