  • The new protocol calls for an increased respiratory rate of 20-30 bpm.
  • Clinicians should use a cuffed tube. All cuffed tubes should be measured using a cufflator, and children should measure between 15-25 cm H2O.
  • Cricoid pressure is still not recommended.
  • Early epinephrine administration for non-shockable rhythms is recommended.
  • Another recommendation is a fluid bolus during sepsis of 10-20 mL/kg.
  • Make sure to replace lost fluids with IV fluids and lost blood with blood.
