  • A "R Prime" wave is the second upward wave after the R wave.
  • A "S Prime" wave is the second downward wave after the R wave.

Q Wave, Abnormal Page 9

  • Some Q waves are normal depending on which lead is viewed.
  • A Q wave may indicate myocardial damage if it is wider than 0.4 seconds(a) or greater than 1/3 the height of the QRS(b).
