Premature atrial contractions (PACs) are characterized by:
- Regularity: PAC interrupts the underlying rhythm
- Rate: Depends on the underlying rhythm
- P Wave: Will be present and upright but morphology will be variable
- PR Interval: PRI will be different for the PAC than for the underlying rhythm
- QRS Complex: < 0.12 seconds
