  • A 52-year-old woman presents with chest pain and shortness of breath, initially showing normal sinus rhythm with occasional PVCs.
  • After a 12-lead ECG is obtained, she deteriorates into ventricular fibrillation, prompting immediate defibrillation and subsequent cycles of CPR.
  • Persistent VF calls for repeated defibrillation, epinephrine every 3–5 minutes, and eventually antiarrhythmic medications (amiodarone or lidocaine).
  • When the rhythm transitions to asystole, continued CPR and repeat doses of epinephrine are essential.
  • Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) is achieved.
