Experience
Kristen Miller, RN-BSN, completed her ASN and BSN at South Georgia State College, where she also served as a peer tutor on campus. She was the co-founder and president of the Academic Success Organization on the campus, where she strived to teach students how to facilitate their learning experience and study effectively. During her studies, she was also a member and vice president of Phi Theta Kappa honors society.
After completing her education, Kristen began her role at South Georgia Medical Center in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in 2020. In this role, she cares for post-op open heart surgery patients as well as post PCI patients. She also has experience caring for people receiving CRRT and those requiring IABPs. At the facility, she serves on the electronic health record enhancement and development committee, where she strives to improve nursing workflow and clinical care documentation.
Kristen is passionate about education, especially with her peers and patients. She strives to one day become a nursing educator to help create the next generation of knowledgeable and compassionate healthcare workers.
